Even MLB players love arcade machines...

Just saw this on the AT&T seehowtheylive site and thought it was funny.
David "Big Papi" Ortiz has an Arcade PC machine down in his game room. Nice!
See they really are normal people just like the rest of us.
Later Freaks!

That's it, the bar is closed!
You don't have to go home,
but you can't stay here!

I saw that too. Thanks for the pic though, as I only glimpsed briefly. You'd think with the millions of dollars he has that he would've gotten a much nicer machine. For millionairre standards, that is Goodwill quality. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Most people on here can say now that their arcade machine is nicer than David Ortiz's. :laugh2: :laugh2:

Yeah, but to someone that has never seen this site or other examples on the net that probably is the coolest thing ever invented.

Well, when I finally complete my machine, I'll be happy to sell it to a professional sports player for about $10k. :)  Seeing as how they make millions, it'd only be a drop in the hat, right?

Alot of those sports players don't make all that much cash when you look at the second and third stringers. I've heard of guys having trouble buying $500 laptops and the like. Not all of them have the multi-million dollar contracts =)

Methinks some of these arcadepcs were promotional items...

I can't think of many people who would turn down a freebie in exchange for some free marketing.

Depends on the sport. Roughly 5 years ago the MLB minimum was 175k per year...avg was 1.2mil per year.  WNBA players by contrast are lucky to make 60-70k.

if they can't buy a $500 laptop its because they are haphazardly wasting their money.   As mentioned, the MLB minimum salary is around $200k.... not exactly "roughing it"
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

LOL! Apparently no one cares about it...if they did, the players would have higher salaries. The only reason it is still around is because the NBA supports it. I was just trying to emphasize that not all pro atheletes make tons...

I don't feel sorry for any person that gets to play a game for a living. Almost every man in America would gladly play for free in the MLB just to do it.
