Covering options for your cabinets (Not Paint)

I just finished a cab using Happ's Bison Black Vinyl and it looks great!  The material is easy to work with, but its on the pricey side.  Happ only offers black and shades of grey of this materia. I would like to use this on my next cab, but I don't want all my cabs black.  Is there any other place where I can get 40" wide vinyl in different colors.

Parts Express has a good price on black vinyl, but I think they've only got 24" stuff.  Won't do a cab side without a seam, but good for control panels and smaller areas.

You might look around in the Jukebox refurbishing hobby; a juke collector I met once mentioned he had rolls and rolls of vinyl in black, brown, and woodgrain for fixing them up.  Don't know where he got his stuff, though.

How's that vinyl look? Easier to work with than laminate? Basic color is 67 dollars a sheet here in town, about the same shipped. I love the permanence of lam, but my cabinet play is seriously complex.

It looks great and like i said before its easy to work with.  All you need is a razor to cut around the cabinet.  Its expensive though, I paid 91 bucks for 19' of it. Bellow is a pic.  FYI.. I'm working on this cabinet.

I have the parts express vinyl on my control panel and it rocks.  I think it's technically for speaker construction, but was cheaper and probably the best black I could find for the price at the time.

Very interesting. It's cheaper than the laminate I was going to buy at Lowe's. I'd imagine the laminate is sturdier, but it's harder to work with, that's for sure.

This stuff is pretty tuff... They use the stuff for cheap flooring...

Well.. I haven't tried to dent it...  Its very flexible.   Give me an example of what your looking for.. I have some scrap pieces I can test on.

I think I just pictured the kind of vinyl I'd make my custom car audio enclosures out of. Makes it easier to install, that's for sure. The laminate is pretty think and unwieldy, but tough like a countertop.
