layouts/schematics for a sit down "Chase Hq" style cabinet
« on: March 13, 2003, 05:00:11 pm »
Hi

I am looking to create a sit down cabinet for playing only car games on it.  I am looking to make it in the style of the sit down "Chase HQ" or "Cruising USA" cabs.

Just wondering if anyone has made one from scratch before, and if they can give me tips, or even layouts for the wood lengths, etc.

Any help would be great!

You could possibly get an idea from arcadeflyers.com
look at some of the driving game flyers, they sometimes
have profiles,etc..

Check out The Mame Room.  Cyberpunk is just about finished building a custom sitdown cab for which he will, I assume, be selling the plans for.  Looks pretty good from what I've seen, but it didn't look to me like he used a real chair for it.  I could be wrong.  If I were to do it (and hopefully when I have more room and my wife forgives me for my upright that I'm about to start building I will do it) I would order a real chair from Happ and make it adjustable for different sized people, etc.
