Star Wars, analogue stick pulls down and to the left
« on: July 27, 2006, 02:34:48 am »
Hey,

One of my favorite arcade games is Star Wars.  I unfortunately don't have a flight yoke, so I have a quandry.  My analogue sticks all pull down and to the left in Mame in the game - they are perfect for all other analogue games, but not Star Wars.  Any idea what's going on?  Is it a bug with the Star Wars driver?  Any tips on correcting it without messing the sticks up for all other games?

Thanks!

I believe you need to go in to the game's service mode and calibrate the controller.  Calibrate it within the game, not Windows.

No, the game calibers as you play.  Just move the stick all over the place at the beginning.

You can even watch it calibrate: note the location, move left-right-center and note location, repeat until centered (do same with up-down).
