Updated Keywiz software?
« on: July 26, 2006, 11:45:23 am »
Hey Randy-

Any update on the Keywiz software? Let me know if you need a Beta tester. I am particularly interested in a silent version, or having a switch to run the program silently. It appears that the software still on your site is the b99 version...

It's almost ready.  I needed to take a brief detour to fulfill some promises made to a couple of people regarding the Multi LED-Wiz ActiveX control.

I'm still streamlining a couple of things in that ActiveX control before sending it off to those who have requested it, which I hope will be by days end.

The status of the updated KeyWiz software is:

The stealth switch has been added and is working.
The increased speed is working.
It's super-purdy now  ;D
It has context enabled controls w/ graphical "lighting" effects.
Built-in testing of KeyWiz connections from the main screen was added.

And it's compatible with all KeyWiz's, past and present.

What needs to be done before release:

I need to attach the Virtual-EEPROM and Default Keycode Set code to the controls and test it out (no manual configuration outside of the software will be required to use these features)
I broke the command line /L (launch) command.  It still launches applications from the GUI, but I need to find where the re-write broke the other one.

As soon as I nail these two down, it will go to the testers.  I think everyone will really like this new version :)
