Can someone help me in identifying the game that this side art belongs to?

Thanks,

Two Tigers

Loved that game growing up, went back and played it in MAME and it isn't nearly as cool as I remembered LOL. I'm thinking some co-op play on a real CP instead of solo on a keyboard might change that, however.

Wow... Your good... Thank you very much!  I couldn't figure out what game this was.  As i am slowly removing the cheap paint off of it it looks like the side art is in good condition.  Currently its Gaplus and if the side art looks good I think im going to put it back to Two Tigers.

Thanks again for your help.

NP, like I said, it was one of my favorite games when I was a kid, so it was an easy one for me

Wow...that's one game I completly forgot about but used to play all the time at a local video rental place.  Have to fire it up in MAME!

The experience just isn't the same in MAME because the music is missing.  The original had a continuous loop 8-track player that provided the music.

Also of note, dedicated Two Tigers machines used two trigger-grip steering wheels, but conversions use two Tron-style spinners.

The one I played on used the spinners, which is probably a big part of why playing with the keyboard wasn't nearly as fulfilling. Soon...soon...should have the cab together and CP at least roughed out in the next weekish here...

It is quite possible that it is an old tron cab...converted to two tigers, then converted into gaplus. Two tigers was the number 1 conversion for tron cabs I think...

none the less, it is definitly worth making sure if your two tigers was a tron, as tron is a "collector's favorite"

It was Tron.  I fould stickers in there that said Tron and it has the middle marquee light with the Tron symbol.  While I played Tron quite a bit when I was younger it wasn't one of my favorites.  I think finding all the parts(art, pcb, etc..) would be difficult.

Plus I removed the old power supply... This thing was a mess!

Score 1 for Vigo :P

The parts are out there for tron, they are just fricken spendy, and there are a lot of parts that are needed to be purchased. There is also a pretty much repros for almost all the art. My brother is like 90% restoring his tron cab, and he just had to look around ebay for about three months, she found a deal though, and got every part for the tron cab for 500 dollars, and it was 50 miles away, so no S&H.

I'm not going to knock you if you don't want to restore it into a tron, it is a chore. I do have to say though, I think the Tron cab is one of the top five coolest looking cabs out there

Good Luck with your cab

I will have to see.  I am just starting to get all the paint removed for Two Tigers.  Maybe if I am lucky all the Tron art is under that..  I will keep you posted.

Sweet deal, I'm sure there are a few people who restored a tron on the boards, they might have some input as well
