CP Based on Whammocade
« on: July 17, 2006, 12:39:18 am »
I'm planning my first cocktail cab for a few months now and am trying to figure out the best control panel layout for my purposes. This will be a three sided cocktail cab (most likely from arcadedepot.com). I really like the Whammocade cocktail cab controls used for all three sides:

http://web.tampabay.rr.com/whammoed/whammocade/whammocade.htm

I think these controls themselves cover a good amount of games for both vertical and horizontal play (LOVE the ability to play tron with somewhat original controls); but the button layout on the head-to-head sides looks a little odd the way three buttons are on the left side of the panel...and three buttons are on the right side.

1) Does anyone have experience playing on this style of control setup? How do you like it?

2) Does anyone have, or seen, a similiar setup where the SAME controls are used in a DIFFERENT layout?

3) Does anyone know the dimensions of the head-to-head control panels on the Whammocade cab? I didn't see that info on those pages anywhere.  The arcade depot panels would be 11" panels and I'm not sure if all these controls would fit.

Thanks
