Just bought 38+ machines!!! Check'em out!
« on: July 11, 2006, 10:58:04 am »
OK, this month HAS to belong to me for this deal.  EVERYTHING in the pics except for the Ms. Pacman machine and the air hockey table. I have no idea at all where to put this stuff.

That's all. Hope the flood wasn't too much but I think I got bragging rights for the first time ever. :D Everything is redemption with ticket dispensers. I wish there were actual arcade games but it's still a hell of a nice score. It was worth it just for the crane machine (4 player) and the Big Mouth games. And the Hungry Hippos game, of course. I also get 10,000 tokens, all the service manuals, ticket dispensers (extras), token machine, ticket counter and lots of other extras. Good stuff. Had to share. The scary thing is that I only have 2 weeks to move it.... yikes cuz these bitches are huuuge. Only 5-6 out of order in the whole lot. Hopefully easy to fix.

Our plans for the machines are a combo of keep, sell and utilize for a business idea we had already had planned a while back which can now be brought intoo fruition thanks to this purchase. Hope all goes well with it. Kinda scary but life is a gamble, I guess.

Looks like you scored all of the redemption assets of a Chuck E Cheese franchise. My kids would love it.

hahaha I already have the service manual for it and was looking at it yesterday. The lady (seller) says she doesn't even know what is wrong with it. She said anytime something would mess up, she'd just turn them off as opposed to having them repaired. Good thing I have service manuals and great sites like these to come to for help :) Out of the 38+, she said only 5 or 6 are screwy in one way or another. Still prety good I think.

haha I thought so too! Everyone seems to like it more than anything else haha. I played the Flintstone's memory match on MAME last night to see what it was like.... even with emulation I only got a few tickets. I totally sucked at it. haha

I don't know why, but I've seen Big MOuth Berthas sell for quite a bit at auction.

I'm curious to find out what you're doing with these. They really aren't "home arcade" type machines. And you can't exactly just put a couple on location here and there, since they spit out tickets for redemption...

Well I'm going to try to trade some to a sorta-local (80 miles away) amusement/arcade vendor. So maybe I can score some actual arcade games that way. I'd love to trade the beast of a crane machine for even just 2 arcade machines. As much as I love crane machines, this thing is just way too big, even split in half. Actually half against a wall wouldn't be so bad but splitting it would take away from it's appeal greatly.
Then me and the MRS. have a business idea that we are going to try that is pretty original. Keeping tight-lipped about that for now though.
Finally I'll sell what I can on ebay and locally. These things are tough cookies to get rid of due to shipping, but we'll see how it goes.
And lastly, there's a jukebox thing that takes tokens that is just itchin' to be converted into a PC based MP3 jukebox project. It wouldn't be a waste since all it has on it are about 20 parody songs by unknown artists. So that's what that sucker has coming to it hehe.

Good idea about keeping tight lipped. I,along with almost everyone else on here, also have a warehouse full of 30+ redemption machines just itching for an inventive way of making a business out of them. :laugh2:
