Spy Hunter steering wheel questions
« on: March 09, 2003, 07:50:01 pm »
1) When I wired my StarWars yoke to my Dual Strike Sidewinder hack, there was a green "ground" wire coming off of the metal mounting hardware of the yoke which I used as input as ground on my Dual Strike.   Now that I am hacking my second Dual Strike for my Spy Hunter steering wheel assembly, I was assuming there would be a similiar ground wire coming off of the metal hardware of the steering assembly, but there was not.   Any idea if I need to have a ground wire or not?

2) Does Mame support the Spy Hunter "center" button light bulb which illuminates when the truck is coming?

Thanks

It's not totally necessary to have a ground wire connected to the controller frame.  I believe it's there just for safety (so any shorts go out thru the ground instead of your body...)  Since the yoke had one, I connected it to the DS ground just in case.  Shouldn't affect the functioning of your controls either way.

I would just try playing the game and watch to see if one of the keyboard LEDs flash when the truck comes.
