Nintendo Blue Question
«
on:

In the continuing breakdown of this Nintendo cabinet I discovered that it was a Donkey Kong 3 at one point. They really hacked the control panel to make it a two player space game Sky Soilders (can be fixed through welding and bondo but from what I understand Donkey Kong used a wood panel so I plan on making another). I am looking to redo this cabinet in Nintendo (Donkey Kong) Blue. My question deals with the blue thats in the Donkey Kong 3 control panel. Is this the same blue that was used in the Donkey Kong cabinets (and other Nintendo blue cabinets of the time period)? My guess is yes but just wanted to ask before I took it to have paint made up. I have been looking online and have not found a definite color code for Nintendo blue. Thanks.

The site that used to have them online seems to be gone... I color matched a paint chip off the original cab, and it came out great. When I get home I will grab the can and get the formula off it for you....

Thanks! That will keep me from having to figure out how to get a sample of the blue paint off of the old control panel.

Ok, I found the old can. It is Lowes Enterprise Oil Semi-gloss enamel. On the can the base is 4 1134.
One the printed label:
Base:
B 4-47865
Quart:
Color 101- 1 shot
102- 25 shots
103- 7 shots
113- 2 ounces, 13 shots, 1 1/2 shot
