Questions on making a Supergun

Okay, it seems easy enough but I had some questions. First off I heard that it's better to put an external speaker on the Supergun box because the sound is already amplified from the board and if you run the sound volume wires to the tv you risk damaging it but I see a lot of people with theirs connected to the television. Also, how would I convert the RGB signals to a component or S-Video signal? Oh and I know that with CPS-2 games fighting games and some others you need six buttons. What is the pinout for this? Please reply. Thanx.

JAMMA standard is amplified audio, so you could fark your TV.

Also, how would I convert the RGB signals to a component or S-Video signal?

You may or may not end up with overscan issues (e.g. you may end up missing parts of the image). I have not yet built a supergun, so my specific knowledge is limited.
