So like the header says, I have a 3 sided cocktail in progress and I want some advice before I buy my encoder. My 3rd long side has four eightways  and twelve buttons. What can I say I love 2 person Alien Syndrome and Smash TV. That's only 28 inputs but I would like to have two Admin. buttons and a 1 player and 2 player button. that's 32

Then I would just wire some of my buttons to on my 1 and 2 player vertical side to some on the long 3rd side and they can share inputs.

OR should I use a IPAC4 with 56 inputs. Wouldn't it be over kill. Is the only draw back that someone could push a button on another control panel while I'm playing

I also like the keywiz but I'm not sure I want a moving part on my encoder for the keyboard pass through.
They treated me like an animal and that's what I became.

you could use any of those since to middle cp will be connected to the same inputs as the end cps.

as for the keywiz..the moving part is not something to be worried about if your not going to switch it 100 times a day. But I'm sure it would hold up fine. I have a keywiz max for 2 years now and not a problem with the KB passthrough switch.
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical.

You could also look into a combo: one Keywiz and one GPWiz - will give you different inputs, so nobody is messing around with your controls by accident, and still cheaper...

Hi,

I have built a few of these for customers.
I just used an IPAC 2 and wired up as normal.
BUT, I wired the earths to a switch. Flick the switch one way and you have vertical control panels working and flick the other way and the horizontal panel works. That way nobody can muck around with the controls while you are playing. Simple huh!?
