IPac and two Perfect 360s
« on: March 09, 2003, 02:47:40 am »
OK...I have successfully connected the perfect 360s to Mad Catz DreamPads and Sony Dual Shock controllers.  What I am trying to figure out is how to connect the Perfect 360 to my IPac4.

I know that I can use the pins designated for connection with an OptiPac, and I even know which of the 9 pins is a +5v and which is the ground.  What I need to know is how to connect two Perfect 360s joysticks (in a two player control panel) to one IPac.

I searched and found a link that shows the exact pin specifiations at the bottom of the page, and was even encouraged to see, what appears to be, two +5v power sources.

Can anyone please tell me how to connect a pair of Perfect 360s to one IPac?  Any help would be appreciated.  Here is the link I referenced above.

Scroll to the bottom to see the pinout.

What seems to be the problem? You know which pins to use....what am I missing here???

I have a J-PAC but I used the 5V from a PS/2 to USB converter. Works mint and I can disconnect from the PC quick.

what I am trying to figure out os if the same 5 volt power and ground is used for both Perfect 360s in a daisy-chained manner.

I don't compltely understand elelctrocnics, but I figured that if I daisy-chained them, there would not be enough power going to one joystick and it wouldn't work.

Andy of Ultimarc replied to my email and explained that daisy chaining should work fine.  I will post my results this evening.

Connected them last night by daisy chaining the power and ground to each of the sticks...from the IPac.

They work great.

No issues.
