Harpal questions
« on: June 18, 2006, 09:39:45 am »
Hate to stir the pot  some, There is a LOT to read from this cat. I see he burned quite a few of you. Honestly , I just started to read the thread and decided to go look at past posts by Harpal to get a better understanding.

The first post he made back on Dec. 15 2005 mentions he just picked up his first cab and works part time while going to a university. 3 months later his whole family is in the business and they have a warehouse??  am i understanding that correctly?

He also mentions in another rant that his ex-wife died 2 years ago. ???
Yesterday i saw the listing for Acidforums on ebay...today it had been removed but Taking a look at his feedback, on a follow-up he made to a negative response back in Jan he mentions just having a baby!!   so he's been married, lost his wife and now has a child with another woman....and he's only 23?  am i reading into this guy correctly?

I don't know...too many pieces to put together :dizzy: but i guess the outcome is evident.

To be fair to the guy, a lot of the successful sales that there have been revolve around import/export of electronic goods..

So I suspect his family do/did have a import/sales business, "Warehouse" could be a shop based storeroom without any problems, and he could have worked inthe family trade while studying part time. He is London based so lots of colleges where he could do that while working.

However, several people are clearly unhappy, and even if the warehouse loss etc are true, a lot of peoples problems are based on his attitude and solution to deals gone wrong.

To be fair to the people he ripped off, he's a con artist. Not a particularly good one, but a con artist all the same.

Yes, please let's give harpal the benefit of the doubt.  Please order something from him now, just to show you're not willing to jump to conclusions.

Now, I haven't read any of the Harpal stuff, and frankly I don't believe any of it. I met him just last week, and boy is he a really nice guy. We went back to his gameroom/shop. Man he had a lot of cool stuff in there. He had all kinds of machines and parts. Most of them had labels on them, like they were sold to someone else but never shipped to them. He assured me, though, that he didn't need to ship them because there was some kind of problem with all of the buyers. So we sat there and played all of those games for hours. Man is he a great guy.

You see, now that's dry witty humour right there.  A+ stuff!  :laugh2:

Soapy, ask him if he played your pile of xboxes or not.

Oh, yeah I did get a few rounds in on those Xboxes. Soapy, you really should go pick those up, Harpal has been waiting on you. He said he may start charging a storage fee.

Some strange looking guy saying he was a courier dropped off a pallet of Xboxs and arcade stuff at my house today. Weird - I didn't pay for any of it...
