I Want My Own Coctail Cabinet!!
Game lists in Mala (and others)
«

Is there any easy way to remove the extra info in the game lists?
The gamelist look like this in Mala and other Front ends:
Pacman (midway)
Pengo (Set 1 Rev c)
Phoenix (Amstar)
etc
I want it to look like this:
Pacman
Pengo
Phoenix
etc
If not, I have to use GameLauncher, but I would prefer to use a frontend that is updated.

Yes. I've seen this question asked a few times. You can use this:
http://mala.arcadezentrum.com/malagamelist.html
Or simply launch the MalaGamelist editor inside the mala folder. Make your changes and save. Done!

"zu wenig arbeitsspeicher" means not enough memory, but I don't think that this is the real issue here.
What are your computer specs?

Strange, I have tried more than 5 PC's and it never hangs and I know a lot of people using MalaGamelist without errors. Maybe someone else can confirm this.

If I select no more than 50 roms it works ok, but as you know mame has more than 6000 roms, and it is very boring rename the roms step by step, I hope as you say, anybody can help me
Thanks
Cyrus

You are right! I did a test with a huge game list (> 6000) and the error appears here too. I already found the bug and it is fixed. Now it takes only 1 second to remove the brackets from the names in huge lists. Thanks.
