I'll be there.  I live in Jacksonville so its only 2 1/2 hours for me.  I try to go to at least one per year.  Last one I went to was June of last year.  Hopefully the selection will be better this time as I was a little underwhelmed last year.

Just talked to my brother in Melbourne and he is going tomorrow and taking his kids.  My Mom is there visiting so she is going also.

I told him to call me if he sees something interesting and I could advise him as to how much  the games would be worth if he was going to bid on one.

ARGGGHHH  :badmood:  I have to work Saturday.  (Not that I would be allowed to buy a machine, but I'd love to go to one of these auctions and see what they are like and "test" the machines out).

I'd like to get my hands on a demolition derby machine (4 player sit down variety).

My nickname at work isn't "crash" for nothing lol.

Well I went to the auction today in Orlando.  Overall I think it was one of the better ones that I have attended.  The crowds were smaller then previous auctions I've been to and there were some different machines besides the usual suspects.  Also since the crowds were smaller (not advertised locally on radio) those that attended tended to be those in the know and not the average person off the street bidding up crazy prices.  I have attached a few pictures.

The burgertime cabinet was one the nicest I've ever seen.  It went for $425.  The scramble was in decent shape also, I believe it went for $375.  Most of the Ms. Pac's, Galaga, donkey knogs, etc went in the $300 to $400 range.  Golden Tees in the $600 up range.  I purchased the orange nintendo cabinet next to the scramble.  Overall it is in pretty good shape.  It appears to have gone through several conversions as it is currently set up as a sky shark.  When I got it home and turned the marquee around it was a mint donkey kong marquee.  The front bezel when turned around ended up being a donkey kong 3.  The coin door appears to be in great shape.  I'm gonna have fun restoring it to either a donkey kong or donkey kong jr cab.  My first and only cabinet I currently have was built from scratch so I'm looking forward to doing this.

Thanks for the pics!!! :notworthy: :notworthy: You Rock!!!  :applaud:

My bro and his crew did not make it to the auction, they all chose to sleep in this morning  instead of going to the auction...can you imagine that ???

I see a few Multi-cades there... do you remember how much those sold for?

The last auction here in Atlanta was absolutely packed and people were bidding up crazy prices.  Galagas and MsPacmans were going for $600 to $800.  The Multi-cades all went for close to $1000 or more  :o !!! can you believe that!!!
Some Golden Tees were going for $1600 !!!  :o :o  A lot of pins were going for $2000.

Anyway, good job on the pics, and congrats on your purchase!!!

The multicades that you see in the pictures went in the $1000 to $1200 range.  They were in really good condition but more then I would be willing to pay for something like that when I can make one.  I would of taken more pictures but I felt little weird standing there with a camera taking pictures (those Super Auction roadies were keeping a close eye on me while I was taking the pictures, didn't want to end up encased in a machine and buried in a landfill somewhere  ;D.)  Didn't stay for the pins as I only had room for the one cabinet in the back of my SUV and wanted to get back to Jacksonville.

They said that their will be an auction in Atlanta in August.

Yeah those Multicades are up there.   You could build a very nice MAME cab for that amount of money.  I saw a Multi-cade at the last auction that had a 4-way joystick, and it had Sinistar on it!!!
Imagine playing Sinistar on a 4-way... :lame:

I think the SuperAuction roadies were giving you the stare-down because of a couple of incidents that have happened at other auctions in the past.  Some of you may be familiar with these.

One incident involved some guy complaining about some creep taking a few too many pictures of his young daughter.

The other one involved someone  that took pics of the auction and posted them up on the Internet.  One of those pics showed some guy there with his girlfriend, then the guy's wife happen to see those pics with her husband and his girlfriend, probably showing some PDA (public displays of affection?)!!!

BUSTED!!!

I guess this gives us a valuable lesson, if you are married and you go to an arcade auction with your girlfriend...
Be smart...wear a disguise!!!

Anyway, thanks for the info...  :applaud: you have performed a valuable public service to the BYOAC community.

So August in Atlanta...IT'S ON!!!
