Free in Atlanta - Pole Position Cockpit Cab
« on: June 16, 2006, 10:15:06 am »
Free for the taking but I need it gone in the next week or so.  I had been using this as a mame cab, but I need the space back.  No pcb, coin door or monitor.  Has a repro overlay that is starting to lift in some places so it will need some adhesive to stick back down.  Has a new floor mat that I never glued down. It has casters and can be rolled around easily.  Drop me an email (pcasey at bfrc dot com) if you

How would you feel about driving this out to my house in Phoenix? It would only take you about a week round-trip, and would really be cool. I'd buy you a beer.  ;D

In all seriousness, if I were within 2-3 hours of you, I'd be there this evening. Bummer.

Hey, is the cab still available?  I might know some one who is interested (and has room for it)  I would be MAMEing the cab for them.  I wish I had some room for it because my wife loves Pole Position.

Anyway, I have a truck and I live in Lawrenceville, and I am looking for my next project.

Thanks.

I'll second Art on one point - I live in Tucker, GA and wish we were in our new house (read more space) - that's the next style cabinet on my wife's wish list...and the Pole Position cab would be great!

My wife took a look - wants to know if it comes apart at the joint there at all for easier storage (yeah, she hates it too after seeing it.  I also know Art's got first dibs on it, we were just curious about the joint thing).

Thanks for all of the interest guys - the cab was picked up last night by the first person that responded.   RTSDaddy2 - no, unfortunately the cab doesn't come apart, although it looks like it would.  Its built on what amounts to a one piece "chassis" underneath, meaning, if you cut it at the seam that the side panels have, you would be cutting the floor (and roof) in half.
