Check it out cheap ebay item number 6288209712 :applaud:

CHEAP ?

Let's see ... a Dynamo Showcase with no encoder, no video interface and no computer ... starting bid of $2K ...

Let's see ... same Dynamo Showcase with working games go for about C$300 at auction here ... I paid a little less than C$700 for mine, but that included a NAOMI GD-ROM and Virtua Tennis 2.

Yeah, CHEAP.

 :blah:

Cheers.

We'll just assume that's yours, jim7.  Don't be shy!

CP needs work.  It's a showcase cab with 4 standard buttons for each player, with 2 off to the side.

Also, both joysticks are slightly angled for no reason.  Could be hell to get adjusted to.

Also, its a medium resolution monitor... ie, cant be used with an arcadevga...

so for the price given.. you need one super fast computer... and a new 33" monitor.. and an encoder...  And might still be a bit overpriced.

needs some serious spell checking.  looks like a 5 year old is selling it and for that price people are going to be very sketchy about bidding.  g/l...

and way to not post in the for buy/sell/trade forum.  to hell with you post!

He can't as this is his first post and there's the 10 post requirement in B/S/T.

Edit: Dunno about that 10 post limit, I just thought I read that number somewhere. Well, there is a limit anyway.  :P

If you can't take the time to make 10 posts in EE before you post an extremely overpriced cabinet, then you deserve to take some heat ...

Cheers.

I would like to thank everyone here for giving me ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- about the cabinet. Not one nice thing to say... I know it is priced high but I wanted to see what I could get out of it. By the way med res works fine with arcade VGA that how I got those pictures.  Thanks for the spelling corrections I listed it quick and never checked it over.  Most 33" cabinets are going on ebay for 1350-1500 do a search. these cabinets are right off routes and are beat up. This cabinet looks great in person and would make a awsome machine in someones game room. Sorry it did not all meet your standards...You all must all have new Dreamauthentic 33 cabinets......

OK ... you KNOW it is priced high, yet you say it is priced CHEAP ... so you acknowledge the lies ... and then you complain about being called out ...

The biggest reason that you are getting jammed is that you appear out of nowhere, post in the wrong board and try to RIP PEOPLE OFF!!!

Of course you are going to get the cleaveland steamer. These are people who know protecting those who may not, from being ripped off (which is what you were trying to do, right ?). What did you pay for the showcase ?

When you spend time here and build a relationship with this community and aren't trying to rip people off, THEN come back with the attitude.

Is that an ATARI showcase ? You list it that way, but it sure looks like a Dynamo to me. Once you start coming clean (which 33" med res monitor is it ?? The pics don't look like they are from a med res monitor), then people will start cutting you some slack, but so far you are about $1500 overpriced on your cabinet and way over the top with your attitude.

As far as your "most 33" cabinets go for" goes ... search yourself ... more than a few of us actually buy machines on a regular basis ... here are the specific auction prices that I was referring to ... notice all of the 33" cabinets going for $300 ?

Cheers.

EDIT: Some stuff removed as it crossed the line when reread later ... my apologies.

Oh ... as far as medium res monitors and ArcadeVGA goes ... from the ArcadeVGA FAQ:

Quote
25 Khz monitors. If you have a choice, don't go for one of these. They cannot display any of the early games at native resolutions as the scan rate is too high. Only a few games used these monitors and only these few games can be displayed 100% accurately on them. Advanced MAME will be needed for these monitors

'nuff said ... the lights are on ...

Cheers.

Look Jeff I am sorry I ever posted anything on this site I did not know that about med res monitors. I built a cabinet that I though looked good and was original. I am not trying to rip anyone off. I put a lot of time into making this cabinet look as good as it does. The price I can up with was  from looking at what people are paying for put together cabinets that come in boxes. If I don't get any bidders no big deal I will just part out the cabinet or relist itat a cheaper price. I too have been to auction and have seen what kind of shape some of those cabinets are in . So any way sorry to make any one pissy I will not come to this site for anything again. Have a good one.. See you out it's FRIDAY Later

Hey ... I would LOVE for you to come back ... it isn't like this is my board ... I'm pretty sure that most folks wouldn't want me to speak for them.

My only motive for posting on this is to protect the newbs from getting ripped off on what appears to be a nice-looking cabinet ("ooh, pretty ...").

In the words of our fearless leader, "Don't be afraid to help each other avoid getting ripped off" ... that is all I am going for.

All I (we) know about you is what you have posted here and what is in the auction listing ... and both are a bit sketchy. It would be a different matter if I knew you, but since your only postings have been to promote your auction ...

Good luck with the auction (and I do mean that sincerely, now that I have issued my warnings) and I do hope you hang around ... that way you can kick my @$$ a bit ...

If I were you, I would (in addition to trying to kick CheffoJeffo's @$$) keep it ... you have obviously put time, effort and parts (that 4-slot didn't come with it and it DOES look good) into this. You most likely won't get out what you have put in (sorry, but it is true). Finish it off and keep it!

Cheers.

Not one nice thing to say...

I like the looks of the cabinet but the layout of the controls could've been laid out better.

I applaud you for the modern look of your cabinet.

I see you have 0 bids.  If it doesnt work out for you:

I'll buy the coin door off you for $80 shipped and the joysticks for $5 each.  Thats about the best I can do.

This is a DIY website afterall.

PM me if you're interested Jim

why even bother with mid res monitor again ?? they are COMPLETLY useless unless you wanna play random midway games like blitz or whatever...... ???

2K isnt a bad deal for a brand new 33" showcase cabinet with wells gardner cga/ega/vga hybrid monitor or standard cga monitor.
