The Proofs are Here!

I think I will be approving them...but the word 'RESTORE' is a little 'smeared' on the top, I am going to have them confirm that's not in the die but a result of a bad stamp. I can't seem to get a good picture of that. If if is screwed up in the die, they may need to rework it.

More. You can see the "RESTORE" issue here a little better. Remember that close ups of lead proofs always look 'rough.' Be assured they are very shiny to the eye. The thumbnail is a pretty good representation of how they look.

Quick question, Santoro. I only ordered 100 coins due to budget this go around. If I am in a spot to buy many more later on, am I 'outta luck'. Sounds like we are a fairly small customer to the mint so we have to get everyone together in order to make a single order with them. Is it like that on re-orders?

There's a 5000 minimum for Brass from the mint, and 10000 for Nickel. If you miss the nickel this time, chances are you will not see them again. Brass could be reordered in the future if there was enough interest. We ordered more 04 BYOACs at one point for example. Truthfully though orders are waay slower now than 2 years ago, proabably due to price increases and a saturated market. I'd be surprised if we re-ordered 06 tokens.

Update. The 2006 BYOAC tokens are in transit to me, probably arriving here tomorrow. We will start shipping first-in first-out on Thursday. It may take a few days for us to get the newer orders out, but I would hope we will be able to get them all out by Monday.

When I placed my original order, money was a bit scarce. Now that I'm rolling in it (yeah, right

), I have room for more tokens. Since it might be unlikely that we'll be placing another 2006 order, I'm willing to purchase up to 500 of ya'lls 2006 tokens that you ordered and paid for, but would rather you not have spent the money on.

I'm pretty sure he said he didn't sell out completely of them when he ordered (he's got at least 15,000 tokens, based on his minimums he listed). I'm betting you could probably get them from Santoro =p

Anyway-he said he had a minimum order of 15K tokens and also said that he had COSTS covered, not the full amount. I doubt you'll have any problem bumping your order to 500.

Tasty storage info: Apparently the container for M&M Mini's is about the perfect size for storing this size token. A little snug, but it works. That is if you need to store them until you have a working coin mech. As a bonus, all the M&Ms that were inside the tube are now inside my tummy. Mmmmm.

I can see how you'd draw that conclusion but I actually ordered much less than 15K. I was only able to do that because I ordered the "Arcade Memories Tokens" at the same time. As a result we are almost sold out of 2006 tokens already. I took them off the web site for a few days until I get some clarity on exactly what's left. If there is some more demand I can order small lots now that the dies are done.

Stand by for a few days while we get the existing orders out and I will know the deal when that's done, I'll PM In2ishun if we have some left or if we order more.

My kids discovered this trick, and now we always buy a couple of tubes of M&M Minis before going to Chuck 'E Cheese, so they can carry their tokens around without the stupid cups they give you there...

My only regret is that I didn't get into this hobby early enough to get nickle tokens from 2004 and 2005-my collection will always feel incomplete =)

Can't wait to add these to the pile-as an aside, have you had a chance to look into those customized candy jars that were mentioned in the beer mug announce thread? Cause I would definately want one if you did, way more than I would want mugs that would probably be too heavy for my cup holders.
