Alternate ground source? PLZ HELP!
« on: March 05, 2003, 07:25:19 am »
I have 2 I-Pacs linked together for my 4-player control panel. Each I-Pac only has 1 ground input but I have 4 ground wires that need to be hooked up. When I put 2 ground wires into each input on the I-Pac, strange things happen. (1 I-pac won't work, LED's cause computer to crash, etc..)

So is there a way I can hook the remaining 2 ground wires up to something that will work other than the I-Pacs? I tried hooking them up to a screw connected on my Arcade but that doesn't work.

I'm not very smart when it comes to electronics like you guys are.

Any help MUCH APPRECIATED!

[EDIT]
Sorry my mistake, each I-Pac has 2 ground inputs but I have 6 wires that need grounding!

It sounds like you must have some thing wired wrong.  The 2 ground wire connections on the IPac are actually connected to each other on the circuit board, so it should not matter if there is one wire or ten.

Make sure that the wiring for each Ipac is seperate.  Don't cross connect between them.

Are using Andy's LED Wiring harness, or you own wiring?  The LED wiring should not be connected to the ground terminals.

TYou should also ask this question on the Ultimarc site.
