What's the Ipac connected to the pc with, and what's the software THINK it's connected with?

I get this error when it's connected via ps/2, but the software's set for usb.

Even with the updated program, still can't get ps/2 programming to work.  I always have to have it connected usb to reprogram it.

I had a similar problem and solved it by simply plugging my keyboard into the passthrough plug.  I leave it plugged in and it works fine.
