HELP: Area51 is running very quickly ....

In the past I used Mame32 and played Area51 with my lightgun .... no problem.    I am now trying to use command line Mame.exe (ie: v103) and when I try to play Area51 I find the game is in some kind of speedup mode.   The guys are moving very quickly as if the game is in fast forward or something.  Any ideas what could be wrong?

Please forgive the dumb question but in the Mame.ini file is "throttle" set to 0 instead of 1?

Is it only Area 51 or all mame games?  I remember having issues which my amd 64 machine because I had amd's cool & quiet installed which reduced the clockspeed of the processor when its not in use.

Darn, I just tried Area51 again and it is now at normal speed ..... do not know what was happening ..... I will keep my eyes out to see if this happens again ..... weird...

PS: "throttle" is set to "1" in my mame.ini

I do not remember that ... but it could be possible I guess..... everything is working fine now ....
