ALright, my partner and I are probably going to be getting in a bunch more cabinets very soon.  He's going to work out the details in the next few days.  There is a variety of stuff, and I don't know what all there will be.

Why am I bothering to post this?  To see if there is enough interest to go to the trouble of buying and selling right now.

Prices will depend on the kind of cabs, the condition, and what's left in them.

So, anybody in TX, OK, etc. looking for a cab to MAME?  Anything in particular, let me know and I'll see if we can score (OBVIOUSLY nothing rare.   :dizzy:  )

I'm in your neck of the woods and I'll be interested in seeing what you have to post....

Of course, I'm always interested in a midway cocktail I can restore but I doubt that will be in the lot you are considering.

Any cabaret cabs?  I'd like to get one in good condition to convert.   Could probably make a trip to dallas sometime to pick it up.

I live in Dallas and myself and two of my buddys are interested in some cabinets to Mame.  We don't really have a preference.  Just something standard that will fit hopefully a 27 inch tv and have enough room for two joysticks, trackball, spinner, and 4-way joystick.  Keep us posted.

If te deal goes through as it should, there will be about 60 cabs available.  I have only seen a few pics, but looks like a little of everythig in the lot.

I'll be interested too, save me a Taito.  A cheap Taito.
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

I just mamed the one I had for my mom.  It's ok though, I can play it at Christmas.  I am interested to see what you get.

eyedoc...

I'm out of town on business for over a week, so can't come by anytime soon - but I'm looking for a sit-down driving cab.  Doesn't matter if it's got controls or not...  It's for throwing my DreamCast into, so a Mame-ish cab would be great.  I'll check back with you when I get home to see if you've got anything left that matches this request.

I'm in the area and interested in window shopping if that is an option. I am in the planning stages of building my own....maybe a used machine might save me some time/effort/money...

My partner is out of town for a few days anyway, so this won't get settled until he gets back.  Understand, this isn't a 100% done deal right now, but it is pretty firm.

Seanp, I think there is a sit down cab in the bunch, but not sure.  The pics I got had everything crammed together pretty tight.  I'll keep you in mind though.

I just talked to my partner.  He's still negotiating the bulk buy.  There are some cocktails and driving cabs (and at least one cockpit) in the lot.

I may be interested in a Sit Down or cocktail, but by interested I mean if they are not a whole lot, I don't know what the going rate for those is.

The deal ended up falling through.  Prices started going up too high to make for great deals to everyone.  Maybe next time.....

Thanks for the update.  Anytime you're talking about things that big at a cost as low as we want it there can't be much wiggle room for high profits at any end.

Next year I'll just pony up and go down to the Dallas Superauction to pick out my own shiny cabinet.

He wanted us to buy about 60 cabs.  The cost of them plus the transport and storage would have made them too costly.  I was hoping to find everyone some good deals, but even with a tiny profit (litterally a couple of dollars/cab), it wasn't going to work.
