good respirator

I was priming my machine witha spray today. i used a 3m resprirator and I still ended up high. Does anybody know of a better product?

I can think of a lot of "better" products to get you high, but theyre all expensive.

As far as I know, the 3M respirator is a filtration respirator, so it allows the free exchange of gases, but physically blocks particles. I think you need a chemical respirator for something like paint fumes, but I could be wrong.

Get yourself a good canister/cartridge respirator.  They usually cost between 20-30 clams and the canisters are replaceable after so many hours of use.  The air is cleaned by filtering and absorption thru the canister, but remember, if there isn't enough of oxygen, your still gonna pass out/die.  The next choice after that is a self contained breathing apparatus.

I have one of these that works pretty good. They sell them at Home Depot and Lowe's for about $25.
