Mounting plates for Ultimarc Joysticks *New ones in*
« on: May 23, 2006, 02:18:36 am »
I have 16 of these available at the moment.  I'm selling these here because they were cut a bit too large, so if you underneath route is exactly the size of a happ joystick they probably won't fit.  But holes all line up.  They are about 1/8-1/4 of an inch too wide.

4 outer holes match happ joystick dimensions
4 inner holes are countersunk and match Ultimarc controllers.
Cut from 16gauge steel.  Almost the same thickness as the Ultimarc plates.

I'm selling these for $3 a piece and $1 for shipping.  If you are interested, just shoot me a PM.

The cad files have already been altered so the next batch will match the happ dimensions of the happ joystick bases.

Will you be offering the next batch up for sale as well?  I'm interested in buying a few but I may wait for the next batch.

Yeah, but since they will be the final design, they will be in my online store.  Just didn't want to put these in the store and figured I'd see if anyone could use them around here first.  I know when I route out for the joystick by hand I tend to make the area a bit bigger than the joystick, in which case these will work fine.

hello Ed. I too made plates over 6 mos ago when i wanted to swap happs supers to sanwas. I noticed yours are for ultimarc, they do indeed look like the same pattern :) Have you tried any sanwa sticks as well to be certain? I could not find a manufacturer cheap enough to bring these to fruition(glad to see you did my friend :) I always thought there was indeed a market for such a thing, and I was just posting to wish you well. I am including some pics to show folks a better idea of the use for these, as I have a panel showing a sanwa and super on a panel to show you can use either type of stick(yours being ultimarc).  my friend.

Nivo, thanks for the best wishes.

I don't have any sanwa stick available to compare.  I'd be more than happy to send a plate to someone to test if they want.

i could test one out for ya, I think i made about 3 or 4 for myself(prototype use) and i made them of 1/16" stainless(unecessary i know LOL, but they look fantastic). If you can also use sanwas with yours, this will even open up more options for your customer base. Cheers.

(ones above in my pics were an early 1/8" prototype, which is overkill for sure hehe).

I should also mention, that the final ones will sell for probably 4.99 each or a pair for 8.99.

So if you don't need them to be perfect in terms of the width and length, now would be a good time to snag a few.  Again, the holes all line up, it's just the height and width that are a bit large.

I have about 12 left.

Got mine!  Looks like it's gonna fit great!  (And will keep me from having to redrill holes in my panel)

THANX!

Yeah, would be great to know Nivo.  I should have the final, correct size, plates in this week and will have them in my store by the weekend.

4.99 each but with free shipping.

I still have some of the slightly oversized ones available at $3 each if anyone is intersted.

Well there is a fix to that, I can supply both.  If the demand is there for sanwa sticks.

You guys let me know.  And if so,  if anyone has a spare sanwa around that thinks they might want plates for it.  Send me your joystick (So I can make sure it fits) and i'll give you 2 plates for free when I get them done.

Looks to me like you can just add 4 more holes to your Ultimarc plates to make them Sanwa compatible as well.  Keeps you from having to make/stock/sell two separate products.  And while you're at it, there may be other sticks you can add holes for as well.

The new plates are in and in the online store.
http://www.arcadeinabox.com/secure/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=28

I ended up having to charge a little for shipping on each one.  Sending 1 or two wasn't too bad, but sending 4 really sent the price up, sorry.

20 in stock now, we'll see how they do before I get more.

I still have several of the oversized ones in stock at 3 bucks a piece.

Hi. A question: If i have a mag stick installed, and want to replace with a 360, willl this plate work so that I dont have to re route or redrill holes into my board? Thanks.

No, these plates are designed to go the other way.  If you have a happ installed and want to install mag stick.

Well these are going a little bit faster than I thought, so I hate to do it, but I have to increase the price slightly.  $6.99 each now.

Still fair I hope :).

Although the current plates don't support sanwa sticks (yet), they might fit seimitsu sticks.
