I'm mostly looking for objective comparisons between these two joysticks since, in the end, it comes down to personal preference. I've not used either of these in a situation where I knew which ones I was using, so it's hard to tell.
I'm looking at the Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y that seems to be acquirable from many places here in the USA and readily orderable straight from Japan via many importers. It looks like a well built piece but I think I may prefer the Semitsu LS-32, which I gather is their main competitor to the flagship Sanwa joystick. I like the hard, clickly feel of real levered microswitches. How clicky is the Sanwa product? I really don't like the mushy feel of the modern joysticks (like the 49 way) used on many newer games, and none of my games need that functionality anyway (all are 8 or 4 way), so I'd rather not deal with the interfacing.
Has anybody used both of these and can offer up some experience or even opinions? The Semitsu product is cheaper, but seems much harder to find here in the US, and importing it directly (through a place like Akihabarashop) would suck up those savings in a hurry, so I'm mostly interested in just determining which one I'd prefer.
