He shoots...he scores!

I have just aquired this coin door for $31.99...including shipping!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=6278434731

I have nothing but good to say about the seller. Very stand up guy and very fast (bout 2 days) and reasonable ($12.00) shipping.

Yes, horray for the bay, where you can still get MVS carts for about $180 less than most website's prices (round $20 each).

Just have to watch out for those bootlegs.  ;)

For one thing, most, but not all real carts have a silver SNK sticker on the side stating the warrenty and a serial #.

I paid $50 for my first coin door, and since then have gotten a half dozen or so for free.  :-\

LOL!...that's the way it goes! I got a Stern coin door for free...but I was looking for an over/under for my cab...I have seen a few of these offered locally for free, but the amount of work required to restore them to usable condition made them unappealing.

If your carts don't have the sticker like Q*B stated or if it's been broken, the only real way to make sure is to open the cart and check the chips.  The chip numbers should match the NGH numbers is listed here.  If you have an EPROM it's not necessarily a bootleg, but if you have MX flash chips it most definitely is.

Anyway, back on topic... Yes, I've done the same thing with coin doors.  I payed a pretty penny for my first and then they start falling from the sky.
