GameEx (http://tomspeirs.com/gameex/) supports video, jukebox, and all emulators.  It also supports video screenshots.

3dArcade (http://3darcade.mameworld.net/) also supports jukeboxes (even in the 3d walk-through arcades) and will put MAME videos on the actual 3d Cabinets.  It does not have video (DVD, Mpeg) support for movies like GameEx does though.

Nobody told him about GameEX or 3D Arcade, so I was just trying to contribute something relevant.

I just started putting my cabinet together - so I just became active here and on several other MAME forums recently (I just posted an original skin on the 3D Arcade forums a few days ago take a look: http://echo.messageboard.nl/2243/viewtopic.php?t=2190).

You will see me here posting annoying questions and all the stuff that goes along with building your first cabinet as I progress.  Since I'm moving in about 6 months, and I currently have a pretty bad back injury (Herniation of one disk, rupture of another) I am building a bar-top unit first.

I have an AMD Athalon XP 2400 w/ 512m of DDR, Vodoo 3000 AGP, 160 gig SATA for the system.  I had the board, video card, power supply, 15" monitor, and dvd already lying around here- so I just picked up a CPU/RAM/HDD to finish it up.

I have MAME (1.06 ROM Set with CHD's) with the 3D Arcade front end installed along with Daphne and Visual Pinball.  I made my own skin for the front end, and now I'm just waiting on the HAPP Translucent buttons from ponyboy to start putting it all together.  I'm going to pick up the LED's on eBay and do that myself.

The plan is to use a black walnut veneer along with a lighted mini-marquee for a totally custom cabinet.  For controls I have an Ultimarc Mag Stick Pro (top switchable 4/8), an LCD-TopGun light gun, and a Crystal CompUSA lighted trackball.

I know that track ball isn't "Arcade Quality" and I will buy a HAPP for my big cabinet - but the whole idea of this one is a "small as possible" bartop machine (and I like the bowling/shuffleshot games).

The CompUSA has gotten some good writeups on MAME sites, and it is really nice looking.  It lights up red, and when a button is pressed, changes up green.  I managed to find one on eBay for $12.00.

I'm sure once it's done I'll post it here, then you can post something saying "Nice Cab".   ;)

... that is unless I wind up making a mess of it ...  :-\
