My First Post. Please help with my spinner
« on: May 11, 2006, 11:36:54 pm »
Hi everyone, been reading the forums for a long time but this is my first post.

Hope someone can help me with my question. Hope this is the right spot to list this in

I have a Slikstik tornado spinner that interfaces to the USB port.
I also have a happ 3" trackball that interfaces to the USB port as well.

both work great in windows and in Mame.
My problem is with 2 games. When i spin the spinner it moves around left and right perfect but after a second or to the whole image on the screen moves right or left.

Its like looking at a zoomed in window and the spinner pans the image left and right .
How would i tell mame to stop using the spinner to move the image ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Hope you understand what im trying to say

-Chris

What games?

Is the game image larger than the screen?  So that the screen has to pan back and forth to see it all?

That's my guess.  I had that problem with windows itself back when the first TV-out cards were available.  It was a resolution issue.  Too big=scrolling window, too small=black side bars.

Definitely a windows size issue. Make sure that you have set in windows a large enough resolution to handle the games you are having a problem with (Control Panel, Display, Settings). You might also want to experiment with enabling hardware stretching in Mame.
