I've installed the long handle and the hard spring on my U360. I'm not sure if I've done that correctly, because now I can not put the dust washer on the stick, as it doesn't fit over the black plastic cylinder that I have installed. Did I assemble this plastic cylinder on the correct place (on top of the base plate, see picture)?

Thanks in advance for your support!

Why did you use the long shaft if you top flush mounted the joy?

Normally the longer shaft is used to gain back the length lost from mounting the joystick from under the CP (bottom mounting) depending on the thickness of material used for your CP.

Hi,

I have the same problem.  I do have a couple of other joysticks lying around (happ super, ultimark mag-stick+) that I can use the dust washers from, as the hole is a bit larger on those, but yeah, the std U360 ones don't fit over the black cylinder at the base of the shaft.  I like the longer shafts (I also flush mount under a 3mm plexi sheet, and thought the extra length was more comfortable) and will stick with them as I can use the other dust washers.  If you don't have any spare washers, I'd suggest emailing Andy at Ultimarc... maybe he can supply you with a couple.

g'luck!

The long shaft is meant to be mounted from underneath. This would fix your problem. If you can't go back, I'd suggest switching back to the standard stick.

My thoughts exactly.

I know, because I echoed what you already said. ;D

Thanks for your suggestions. I think I will go back and try the short shafts instead.
