Dedicated Sega Hang-On Doesn't save High Scores after power off?

Anyone with one of these tell me if they are supposed to save the high scores after being turned off?  I picked one up last week and it seems fine but the scores reset to default after I turn it off....

I'm fixing this baby up, I found parts on both Ebay and a local Betson dealer, so it will be a nice add to my small collection, my first *real* arcade cabinet (upright mame, cocktail mame, Pole Position cab with mame pc dedicated to PP, and a soon-to-be Golden Tee Mame cab).

Any info on this game would be great, and if anyone has a clear copy of the manual (I have one with blurry photos) they wouldn't mind sharing I'd love to see that too.

No, Hang-on doesn't save the high scores. Unless mine had a problem too ?

i just sold mine this weekend...i miss it already. I think i have a good manual to it. I'll take a look tomorrow but shoot me a pm if i forget.

Thanks, I was just in RGVAC and found a post saying the same thing, no saves on Hang-On but Super Hang-On did save.....oh well.

Yeah, this needs minor work (accelerator cable, new grips, new start button, plus cosmetic patches) and it will be great.

i found the manual for you. It has no cover to it, but it has the schematic pull-out on the back. The print is clear.
