SuperNova controls Vs. X-Arcade controls
« on: May 06, 2006, 02:38:07 pm »
A friend wants to use his SuperNova joysticks with his X-Arcade panel.

He prefers the Supernova joysticks because the indentations(for lack of a better word) are a little more positive, whereas his X-Arcade joysticks have virtually if non-existant feedback from one of the eight positions to the next. I'm assuming this is all in the restrictor, but he also like the weaker spring action.

He also wants the SuperNova's buttons on his X-Arcade panel because he like the stronger spring action as well as the positive feedback(click).

Rather than try to swap the controls from one panel to the other, is anyone here familiar with the specific joysticks and buttons used on the SuperNova, and where to get them?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Darren

According to the SuperNova specs the following are used.

"Ultimate Joystick with reliable and long lasting Cherry switches from Happ Controls"
"Ultimate Push Buttons with vertical-mount Cherry switches from Happ Controls"

Hope that helps.
