FS: Quasicon Arcade Joystick
« on: May 04, 2006, 11:28:18 am »
Hey all...  I tried selling this a few months back, and I had several people interested, but everyone was out of cash after Christmas.  Anyway, here is is again.  I put it on ebay this time to make it easy to buy...

Anyway, it's in perfect shape, and just begging for a console cab!

Later all!

I really love that setup.  I just can't talk my wife into it. She says she can't fit. :applaud: She says I spend too much money as it is.

Oh man, I've always loved that thing and plan on getting one, but works just too slow right now for me to keep buying stuff (I just built a new computer).  If it doesn't get any bids in a few days, then I think I'll have to bid the $200 because its just too good of a deal, I'll just put it on the credit card I suppose.

After sitting as the winner bidder for almost a week I decided I really wanted it, so I outbid you :P  Now I have another project added to my list, but a console cab with these controls should be pretty sweet.

Looks like the AtomSmasher won the auction.  He'll love it!

You do have a pretty cool mame cab there already!  What are you going to use this with?  Going for an xbox?  There are a ton of great games and arcade compilations for the xbox that make this joystick shine!

Later!

I'm going to make a console cab which I'll put my ps2 into and I'll probably buy a used xbox and put it in there too.  The only way I would make a console cab was if I had analog joysticks and buttons which is why I've been wanting one of these controls, since they're the only arcade type controls I know of with analog buttons.  I can't wait to get it and try it out :)

I really look foward to seeing the cabinet you build around this.  If you need help modding an Xbox, let us know.

I assumed that was gonna go for around $400, so I didn't bother to keep up with it (and I knew McCoy wanted it).  If I had known McCoy was going to drop out, I would have chased this to $300.  Damn.

Mark, you talked me out of it ya dingleberry!  Now I'm going to make a cp with controller bays on either side of a dedicated steering wheel.

Unfortunately it'll probably be a while before I get around to making a cab for these controls because I have a couple other projects I want to get to first.  I just couldn't pass up the good deal on the controls, so I got them now.  I'll definately make a thread in the project anouncements section when I do get to building it though.

Yeah, I would have liked to see you guys get the price up to $300.   *sigh*  Oh well, that's the way it goes.  Anyway, it's a good stick for the arcade style games...  It didn't work very well for Halo, however.  *laugh*  That's what I get for even trying to play halo on an arcade stick.  Dead or Alive 3 on the xbox is fantastic with that stick.  Later!

Of the games I have I can already think of a ton that will be awesome one it, Mortal Kombat deception, Soul Caliber 3, Viewtiful Joe, We Love Katamari, Dynasty Warriors, X-Men Legends, Rachet and Clank, hell I think most of my games will play great on it.  I'm actually thinking of getting a gamecube for it instead of an xbox because nintendo games just have a much more arcade feel to them, Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Mario Tennis, etc.  and since I already have a mame cabinet I don't need a modded XBox for mame.  But as I said before, it'll be a while before I get to building the cab for it.

Also, I'm glad it didn't get up to $300+ because then I wouldn't of gotten it  ;D
