The Incredibles Pinball
« on: April 29, 2006, 08:33:32 am »
From my blog:

This is The Incredibles pinball table I started last summer using Visual Pinball. I want to complete it in Future Pinball now that it supports ramps. If you haven't heard of Visual/Furute Pinball, I highly suggest you follow the links about.

The reason this table wasn't finished in Visual Pinball was because I realized late in the development that the ramps and left/right loops were too narrow and too hard to shoot. They were makeable, but it didn't flow in a fun way. Fixing the problem would have meant basically starting over. When considering that fact with the droolish visuals Future Pinball was promising, I decided to suspend the project until Future Pinball was released.

If you're interested to forming a team to recreate this table proper using Future Pinball, drop me a note on my blog or leave a comment here if you just want to talk.

Dude, that is freakin awesome.  I hadn't even heard of FP, it looks great.  That older one hadn't been updated in forever.  Is FP going to incorporate PinMAME?  Man, the future looks good!

You table seems awesome.  If I had any damn free time at all, I'd offer to help, but as such, I'll be glad to d/l your table when you finish!  :)

FuturePinball was written by the only person who had visualpinball source (other then the original author who has dropped it years ago).

But he rewrote most / all of it to use a full 3d engine, new physics engine ect.  Its coming along.  it JUST got ramp support so what you can do is MUCH better then before.

the real trouble with it (for most) is that there isn't any pinmame support and Black has mentioned that he wouldn't support it.  So without that, no Adams Family ect....  With it, we would see all the tables redone in a few months.

Its a really cool app.  Fun to play... but the tables aren't there yet.

I've updated my blog with a comparison of the lower playfield in Visual versus Future Pinball.

Below is the lower playfield in Future Pinball.
