Hi.

I'm Lharles and I am an addict.

Okay, now that this is out of the way I'm wondering if there's anyone on these boards in the greater 'Puget Sound'/Seattle area interested helpin' a dumb-asterisk like me with the final construction of my ultimate control panel.  I've reached a point where I have all of the pieces and parts and where I think I can make this work.  Still, I have this nearly crippling fear that I'm going to wind up with this rickety, unstable bunch of crap that might actually injure my children.  :)  I have built something vaguely resembling a control panel but I'm sort of frightened by it.  I'm afraid it might hurt me in the night.

Anyway, if there's anyone in my neck o' the woods who might be willing to assist me I'd really be appreciative.  I can offer a multitude of computer parts, copies of my feeble published fiction, er, stuff, and even some beer and pizza, (assuming that the person is question is old enough to legally consume the beer - otherwise it's just ROOT beer).  I've got a lot of random stuff that I'd be willin' to trade for some instruction and assistance.

I've queried about this in a more vague fashion in the past and haven't gotten much in the way of a response but I hope that perhaps I'll find someone willing and able this time around.

I should note that this is ONLY for the construction of the wooden parts of the control panel, including the drilling/placement of the various controls.  The electronics parts aren't a problem, (although I'm sure I'll encounter some sort of problem during the install that will require me to beg and plead for assistance...it just wouldn't be true to form for me if it didn't play out that way).

Thanks,

Lharles

I might be able to help out.  I have decent wood working skills and have built a couple control panels.  I've learned lots from this community and would like to help out where I can.  Unfortunately (for you, not me) I'll be in Thailand most of next month.  I'll be here until May 6th, but my schedule is pretty busy.  Send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

I live in Loyal Heights (North Ballard), Seattle.

I can help with drilling and placement of controls etc.  However, the woodworking part of this hobby is not my strong suit.  Let me know what I can do.  I live on Capitol Hill.
