I do run an n64 emulator on my cabinet. There are many pros and cons to this. The controls being the biggest problem. Mario Kart 64 runs like a dream and you can play with your arcade controls no problem. Also I love playing games like Destruction Derby 64 of the arcade, pretty much most racing games. Games like Mario 64 are impossible to play with the arcade controls. To solve this problem I have some usb converters for n64 controlers. To be honest thought they dont get much use because why would I be standing/sitting in front of my Mame cabinet using a n64 controler when I could be in front of my computer or TV.All in all its nice to have but the N64 emulator rarely gets used. I noticed almost all of my emulators get ignored for Mame instead. Mame just seems to give you more instant gratification for what your playing.

Yeah, you can't really play most N64 games very well with digital arcade controls. I have two dual-analog USB gamepads that I plug in for N64 games. My nieces like the Mario games so they get used quite a bit.
Did you have to pull out any tricks to get the analog sticks to work? What emulator are you using? I have an adapter for psx pads that I can't get to work in project64. The test dialogue in windows control panel show the analog sticks working fine, but then when I get in p64 all the buttons work but no response from the analog at all??
