I'm trying to get around paying $100 for a wireless network adapter for an xbox.  Can a cheap usb wireless unit be hacked to an ethernet plug?

Why not just use a cheap wireless access point?

I use a Motorola WA840G wireless access point for my Xbox; works great. Has ethernet so you just run a short cat5 cable from it to your Xbox. $33 shipped here:

I am sure there are other good or better wireless access points you could use as well, but this one works for me!
