Am I lame or what?
« on: April 14, 2006, 08:23:53 pm »
After reading a few posts on this board, I've been searching the past few days for a game that I've never heard about but everyone else seemed to be enjoying.

..... I'm just now figuring out why I couldn't find that elusive game called "Schmups".

I think it's because you're spelling "shmups" wrong.  ;)

Just want to know what this is all about, makes me feel lame as well, but then again, I haven't been into the arcade stuff for a long time.

www.shmups.com

Don't feel bad about not knowing what the heck people are talking about.  I had no idea until about a month or so ago when I saw a topic asking about the best controls for "shmups."  I was all sorts of confused, but google knows all.  :)

So it is just a site, and some people mistake it for a game?

"shmup" is a shortened form of "shoot 'em up", describing a genre of games.  Not a single particular game.
