Will someone please share there Atari800XL MameWah layout?
« on: April 06, 2006, 11:20:07 pm »
I finally got Atari800XL games working and I am now looking for a MameWah layout file to use ......  I doubt I can make anything which looks even remotely good enough to use .... Hopefully someone has one they can share ..

Thanks

hey, what emulator are you using?  Does it have support for 'esc' key to exit?  I really want to play Fort Apocolypse on my cab.

The emulator I found uses the F9 key to exit ... perhaps someone can write a wrapper to substitute the F9 keypress with an ESC keypress?  It does not bother me since I can reprogram by keyboard encoder to the specific key mappings required by the emulator.

Anyway, for general information ....... I found this site which indicates many Atari800 emulators.

http://atari.ksiders.tzo.com/a8emulators.html

I noticed that the third choice in the list "Atari 800 Ver 2.0.0" indicated a new version was released Jan 2006.   I clicked on the windows image and when the next site came up, I scrolled to the middle of the page and clicked on the 2.0.1 version and then downloaded the "atari800-2.0.1-windx.zip" file.

** You however, will notice there is now a platform independant version which was just release a couple days ago ...... v2.0.2 .... I have not tried this version since it was not available 4 days ago when I originally did my download.
