Amps in General (I AM LOST)????
« on: April 04, 2006, 08:05:23 pm »
anyone know if there is such a thing, a mini amp that will fit in my wall mountable jukebox? it has to be small enough to fit into a laptop (fully open) sized box frame. I want it to power 4 in ceiling speakers??? any name brans or models to look at? Thanks

Let me clarify my situation guys. I am building a JukeBox Walla mountable with touchscreen monitor. Now I want to connect this pc based jukebox to 4 ceiling speakers... I guess the easiest method is to connect the speakers to a car amp andthen connect the car amp to the pc. My Question can I connect all 4 speakers to an amp and achieve stereo sound through all them from my pc? Also what should i be looking for in an amp (options) I have no idea about amps never bought or used ones before. Thanks for any help at all. By the way since im using this for just stereo mp3 playing does it matter if i use on board audio or should i get a high quality sound card. My speakers are pretty high end and decent ones.

Just hack a set of computer speakers and rob the amp...

Get the T amp, its small and runs on 12 volts. Anything else that fits in there will either take too much power or will generate too much heat or both.

I bought one of those with the cardboard speakers.  Worked great.  Can't find the damn thing!

I don't know if this is what they're talking about, but froogle led me to this:
