Non shielded speaker distance from monitor and cp
« on: April 04, 2006, 10:35:36 am »
All,

I am in the planning stages for my juke.  My plan calls for the amp and speakers to be in the lower portion of the machine with the monitor above that and the cpu housed even higher.   I was planning to hit up a pawn shop for some old speakers I could pull out of the housing and use with the amp.  These would be unshielded.  Is there any sort of formula or basic concept to let me know how far my monitor would need to be from the speakers in order to avoid magnetic interference?  I'm think the speakers will be about 120-150 watts if that helps at all.

Thanks,
Rick
