Free Arcade Game near Baltimore, needs minor work
« on: March 30, 2006, 06:19:14 pm »
I have an Atari APB, with the bench, that I need to get rid of. It powers up and plays, but the monitor stays blank (this just started after it not being on for months). It is probably something easily fixed if you know what you are doing. The cabinet is a bit rough, but hey..it is free. Anyone interested let me know...it will need to be moved up steps out of my basement.

Couple questions:

1. Where near Baltimore are you located.  I'm in the Beltsville/Calerton area near the 495/95N  split.

2. Do ya have any pictures of the game. (for the wife to look at).

I might be able to get her to allow "just one more" game in the house.

Thanks.

Tell her the game comes with its own bench, and if you put the game in the dining room, you will use it at the dinner table instead of a regular chair.
NO MORE!!

Well.  She said that she liked playing APB at the arcades (when we had arcades).  So, she said since it's free, it's close by, and as long as I fix it so she can play it, she's fine with it.

Now, just waiting.......   ;D

YES !!!!  She went for it and the ball is rolling !

She understands that it might be in rough shape but fixable.

Plus, I pointed out the fact that atleast I collect things of value which can be passed down to my 2 sons (*sniff......Proud father moment) not a bunch of junk or stacks of nudie mags (well, atleast she hasn't found them yet  ;D ).

She also likes the fact that I'm actually doing something with the basement instead of using it as storage (not a lot of room, but if I keep going, it will justify expanding the basement..... see, I got a plan.....no money, but a plan still the same.)

So the email has gone out and reply has returned....

MWAAAAHHAHAHAHA !!!!!
