Well, I can see why he wouldn't want to mess around, as I believe he said that he also used that site for client files. But still, that sucks!

I have the control panel at home. Can't really scan it but would be happy to take a few pics for you. It's a bit beat up but I think it should be useful. Email me at bobrow(at)earthlink.net and I'll send them to you or put them on my ftp.

oh-oh, now I'm a little confused...

All the images of Tempest CPO's I could find on the inernet looked like the top photo, rohan's CPO is the bottom one.  Were there different revisions?

That looks like a repro - I don't ever remember seeing a big 1 and 2 for the player start buttons. Plus, the colors are off. Looks like you could still use it and adjust the colors after tracing?

I'm an idiot.  Full vector, ughh. This puppy is gonna take a long while, but it has begun.  It will be full size, I just chopped some of the black space off the bottom to make for a smaller file size.  I'll update as I progress.

Man,
I wish I could do that.   I'm guessing the artwork is 23.75" wide, but how tall is it?  Looking mighty fine.

If I add the black space back in it turns out to be 18.5 inches tall, and yup, it is 23.75 wide.

Fine progress there, Kong. :notworthy:
I hope those photos are enough to work with to do this piece justice...Keep up the good work.

I've run into a bit of a hitch...
The Tempest font we need is called Aquarius No. 8
It costs $22
Wondering if we could pass the old PayPal hat for contributions?
I'm willing to pay 8-10 dollars, can we scrounge up the rest?

my email is lkohnke@orangecitycomm.net

O.K....  I broke down and bought the font.  Hopefully these images will inspire a contribution or two to the font fund.  Everything you see is vector.  The explosion stuff takes forever.  Oh, I've got images of the instructions coming and then I can set the type for them.

Is that a typo where it says "100 points. 5plits into two Flippers when hit."

double-checked it, it is an S, but it does look similar to the 5 in this typeface.

want to give a great big thanks to Dervacumen for the sizable contribution towards font expenses, he covered 70 percent of the cost.  Too cool, too cool

Was this ever finished or has KonkeyKong released his file to anyone? I'm doing up the side art to Tempest right now, and I'm sure I could knock out the control panel in a few hours if someone can give me decent photos of it. Is rohan still around??
