Glow starter source?
« on: March 25, 2006, 10:47:23 am »
Does anyone know where I can get one, or maybe two glow starter(s), part number FG-1P?

Or, is there an interchange to a more modern piece that will do the same thing? I am having a tough time finding a source that will sell me only 1 or 2, for a reasonable price.

I need to get my blacklight working again - must have the glow!

Just got a reply back from Bob - he doesn't have them. I found them on ebay, but two of them are $15. Anyone know of another source?

Last time I bought mine (about a year ago) I got them at ace hardware, look at a smaller hardware store.  I could be wrong but I don't think the part number is that critical, just make sure your tube falls in the wattage range of the starter.

I think I'll try that first. I guess the worst thing that could happen is that the ballast blows...
