So as you can see by my title of the post I need a bunch of internal wiring stuff.

I got a local radio shack in town but its small and doubles as a video rental store. I took a look at their web site but I have herd the prices are inflated.

(What really need at the moment is a bunch of wiring  terminals with jumpers. $5 bucks a pop and I need about 10 or more $50+OUCH!)

I did some searches on the web and found it hard to wade through all the info. There must be a site that most cab builders on this forum are using that I have missed. :o
They treated me like an animal and that's what I became.

Wiring terminals?  Have an example?

I've got a bunch of internal stuff available, like wire, female quick disconnects and the like.

i've done away with terminals and now solder wire directly to switches and buttons.
i enjoy soldering and don't mine breaking out the iron to melt metal.

as far as wire we have a couple of surplus electronics stores that beat any real store price.
they have wires by the mile.  I just picked up over 50 feet of teflon coated 16 gauge for
ONE DOLLAR!!!

i love the place its called halted and its in santa clara ca.

Yeah! I always found Ebay to be the cheapest when it comes to small components like that..  All my disconects came off there.  It's actually cheaper than the trade suppliers that I use at work.

Actually when I said wiring terminals I meant to say barrier strips and jumper strips.

That's what I thought.  Don't have any but what I'm using myself.

I bought all my stuff at Lowes (US). A whole pack of quick release terminals were like 3 bucks. The wire was dirt cheap too.

  • This is better than Disney Land man!
As far as wire is concerned, I found a wire that houses 16 different coloured wires in one.  It worked great with my iPac4 and all of the devices.  It made tracing wires easy due to the variety of colours.

  • There is no spoon.
Fry's is a pretty good place to get electronics stuff cheap.  It's not always the best quality, but if you need some connectors or wire or parts right away and you have a fry's in town, it's not too bad.

When I'm looking for electronics construction supplies, I go to HSC, http://halted.com/  They don't have many stores, but one happens to be near me.

I stumbled upon some Radio Shack surplus at a local Cummins Tools.  It would seem that RS is closing a bunch of their stores and seriously reducing their brick and mortar component business.

I got all kinds of stuff for a buck each.  Several 75 foot spools of 18, 20, and 22 guage stranded wire, little round push buttons, barrier strips, tools, bateries, light bulbs, A/V cords, all kinds of crap.  Just about everything that ought to be on a wall in the back of a RS was in 4 shopping carts out in the middle of the floor.

RS is closing stores all over the USA  if there are a few in your town, there is probably a place selling their surplus cheap near you.
