Mame Cab and predefined pushbuttons for 4 games
« on: March 18, 2006, 05:07:35 pm »
It is possible (with MAME32 or frontend) to start game by "hardware extra pushbutton" and not only chosed from frontend/mame32 game list?

I want to use for example 1 pushbutton for Defender start (for me) , 2nd for DigDug (for my wife  ;D) and 3 for Xevious and 4th for Galaga. I want to start these games immediately playing another game.

How to do this?

Cheap and easy solution.   You could launch a windows to a command prompt and a batch menu.  Have the buttons launch a batch file that calls a command line version of mame and your game.  If you don't know what a batch file is then do a little research it isn't that hard.
