« on: March 16, 2006, 10:05:54 am »
Just curious if anyone had bought either? Bought the mameroom cab with the slikstik CP, just the mameroom cab, or the slikstik cab and cp?

or any general opinions on either would work too...

thanks

I bought the Mameroom UAII kit. The quality of the kit itself is great, went together very well and makes a nice looking cabinet. The cam-locs were the weakest points of the kit. They make for easy assembly, but are not very strong and can slip right out of the mdf. I reccomend using some gorilla glue in addition to the cam-locs to make for an extra solid cab.

how easy or difficult was it for anyone to get a WG D9200 into the UAII? and how does it hold up?

ALso does anyone know if the UAII use MDF, particle board , or something else?

I used a 29" presentation monitor in mine, so I can help with the WG 9200 info.

I have just built and slikstik cab with the Slikstik 2 player control panel. I have a WG D9200. The cab and control panel are excellent. They fit together very well and fast (took about 2 hrs). Very high quality IMO. The monitor fits like a glove in this cab. I am very pleaed with everything.

How are the joysticks connected to the panel on the slikstik?

I am guessing there is some kind of screw under near that goes into the panel?

Does it look like it is easy enough to remove and replace a joystick without damaging the CP?

the joysticks are secured with screws underneath, that go up into the wood. they look like they would be easy to replace, as long as you label the wires carefully before disconnecting the old one.
