The lost world arcade question
« on: March 08, 2006, 06:18:44 pm »
Don't know for sure where this goes so feel free to move it.  My wife loves this game.  I noticed that it's emulated in Mame so I'm thinking about building a dedicated cabinet of it for her but I have a few questions.

1. Does anyone know where I could  find plans for this cabinet?

2.  I haven't looked into wiring guns to use with mame, is this possible?  Will they work with this game?

Thanks so much for any help you can give me.

You are looking at a pretty custom set up.  I am not even sure that the game is emulated?  People have had good luck getting one gun to work with mame.. 2 can be a challenge.  You would need to modify the cabs looks to work with guns.  Look for some of the gun threads to see what people are doing.  The monitor will probably need to be mounted close to the front of the cab not far back like the arcade version.

It's unplayable in MAME...you'd be better off looking for a real arcade version somewhere.

The idiot thinks he can get $3300 for it...

I was about to say WOHHH!! That's way over priced..... Then I spotted it was being sold by Monkeys.... That guy is always way over priced.

Was this game ever released on PC? kinda like House of the Dead 2 or Virtua Cop 2?

Alternately, you could get a House of the Dead cab, and just do a Jamma board swap - might be cheaper\easier...
