I dont understand some people!

I had my Arkanoid spinner sold to someone on this board about two months ago. After not hearing from him for a week, he says he has some kind of family problem and could I wait another week. I tell him to take his time and get back to me when he can. More than two months have gone by and now he ignores my emails and PM's even though he still posts here regularly. Whats the point of ignoring me?

Sometimes real life really does take over.  IMO, I wouldn't sweat it much and, instead, just try and sell it again.

He's probably renegging thanks to all these new spinners popping up all over. Just inform him you are putting it on sale again. If he says nothing, he has no right to complain later. If he says no don't sell it, then tell him he has 3 days to PayPal you or the deal is off.

I have ran into the "family" excuse twice for the same part when selling off some parts in another hobby of mine. Strangely, they were both Canadians...I wonder if there is some connection.

Real Life ^TM really can take over sometimes, but 2 months without a simple note is a bit excessive.

It's reasons like this that I now refuse to hold items or take "dibs" from people.  I've had too many people reneg on deals, and I turn down people who would actually pay me while I'm waiting for the first person.  I'll give someone a few days tops, and usually only if I've dealt with them before.  Otherwise... money talks and the first person to pay me gets it.

It may make me look like an ass to some people, but it sucks turning down 2 or 3 interested people waiting for money, and then having NO ONE to buy your item when it's all over.

That's funny, I won't throw around any names but here's what I got on this board when selling my spinner:

"Hey, I'm sorry for the delay.  I ran into a little money snag so I will be unable to purchase the spinnder.  My apologies and if there is anything I can do to help you with the sale, let me know.  Again, I'm sorry."

I think it's the spinner market  .  That was one year ago when I sold my original Oscar Push/Pull DOT spinner for cost... You know, the one that sold for over $300 on ebay this year.
