Druin's Interface MIA?
« on: March 07, 2006, 12:39:18 am »
Has Druin gone the way of Oscar?  I was checking into buying one of his interface boards and his order page is down and contact page is blank.  I tried PMing him here, but I haven't got a reply.  Anybody know what's going on?

I am presuming you are talking about the rotary interface correct?  If so, I would also be interested if they are not available through him, if others have an interface that would work for the Midway/Happs 49 ways?  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

A couple of months ago I came across an arcade parts online distributor that listed the Druin Interface as something they had in stock.  I don't remember the name of the company, but one of the services they provided was building custom control panels.  It wasn't SlikStik, DreamArcades, or the other big name guys with banner ads.

You'll just have to do a search and find them.  Unfortunately, every Google search I've just tried gets me page after page of BYOAC threads and not the company.

Are you saying we have a monopoly?  ;D  I'm not really needing it at this moment, it's just a future project that I have in mind and when parts are as cheap as he's advertising them, I try to pick them up since you never know when they'll be gone.... looks like I may have been a little late on this one.  :-\

When Druni first went off the net, I got a rotrary-board from SlikStick.  Their stock guy, Chris, was very helpful.

Bitten by the cabinet bug... obsessing ever since.

I noticed that Druin said that SlikStik used his encoders, but checking the SlikStik website, I didn't see the available for stand-alone resell.  I guess I could always ask.  The worst thing they could say is, "no."  Might pick up a spinner top while I'm paying for shipping.
